My Divine Comedy
ARTIST STATEMENT " MY DIVINE COMEDY"
Im exploring a series I call " My Divine Comedy" ...a series of my life experiences and thoughts. Is this my my final farewell, my final statements, my final laughable tongue and cheek works making the viewers wonder if she is sane, weird or both? They are honest raw unfiltered visual statements. I treasure my weirdness for it makes me unique. Art has kept me sane in my own weird way.

TRIPPIN OVER CON-VO-LUT-ED", Artist Linda Lee Ligocki , ink on vellum, image 14x14. 12/2024. A new series I started. Reflecting back on my Trippin' Hand Series....I truly have a passion for direct drawing on vellum...such commitment when the pen hits the surface...unforgiving, direct, contemplative, and cathartic. It takes concentration and focus knowing that once I make the decision to draw and ink flows there is no turning back. This piece is about no matter which side you politically stand for; nonetheless, we are their puppets and both parties are convoluted . In the end it is all decided by two parties that are convoluted...hence the donkey with the elephant head and the elephant body with the donkey head.
